Sunday School

Sunday School is an important part of our commitment to being a Bible-Centered, Bible-Based, Christian education teaching program. Antioch Sunday School offers a dedicated spiritual learning space for this diverse congregation. The ministry vision is Engaged Learning, Empowered Leadership and Enthusiastic Fellowship. It is designed to: A) Ignite a hunger for God’s Word; B) Facilitate growth, by equipping our membership to lovingly serve and witness for our Faith; C) Support, encourage and model the process of spiritual maturity.
-
There are eight Adult Sunday School classes, with currently only one in-person class; all other classes continue to gather virtually. Class size ranges from 10 to 20 and are listed below. Every 5th Sunday (i.e. Qrtly), we come together for a congregational joint class, announced & hosted by one of the classes and facilitated by thier teaching team. This Joint Class is hybrid.

History Committee
-
The Antioch History Committee is a group of volunteers who collect, sort, evaluate and archive all relevant church documents, photographs, bulletins, special events programs, and other items of historical significance to the church.
-
Founded in 1893, Antioch Baptist Church is the second oldest Black church in Cleveland, Ohio–and a church that paved innovative ways in everything from HIV/AIDS to women pastors and deacons.
Given its rich, trailblazing legacy, the History Committee works to archive and curate the church’s lasting history as well as documenting the history of today so that future generations can continue to know all that Antioch has done (and continues to do). -
For more information on the Antioch History Committee, please contact Sis. Evans.
