The scholarships listed below are proudly offered through Antioch as part of our commitment to supporting education, empowering future leaders, and investing in the success of our students. Through the generosity of our church family, ministry partners, and dedicated supporters, these scholarships provide financial assistance and encouragement to individuals pursuing higher education, vocational training, and personal growth opportunities.

Ora L Sims Quilting Bee Scholarship

The Ora L. Sims Quilting Bee Scholarship is designed to support and encourage students in their pursuit of higher education. Established in honor of Ora L. Sims and the legacy of service, creativity, and community, this scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate academic promise, leadership, and a commitment to personal growth.

Geraldine McCarley Scholarship

The Geraldine McCarley Scholarship is administered by the Antioch Women’s Ministries of Antioch Baptist Church. It is a one-time award that is open to high school seniors who verify acceptance to a college or university in the fall. Applicant must participate in youth programs of the Antioch Baptist Church.

To be eligible, you must:

1) actively participate in at least two (2) of the following youth ministries of Antioch Baptist Church: BYF (Baptist Youth Fellowship), Sunday School, Young Disciples, Youth Choir, Dance Ministry, AB Girls, Usher Board and/or other programs which the church is engaged.

2) be accepted in a college or university

3) have a minimum grade-point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale

Men's Ministry Educational Scholarship

This scholarship provides financial assistance to young male high school graduates who are members of Antioch Baptist Church or male graduates who live in the Fairfax Community. Graduates must be pursuing higher education beyond high school (college or advanced vocational training). Scholarships will be awarded for one year; however, a student may reapply in subsequent years.

To be eligible, you must:

1) Complete the Men's Ministry Scholarship Application

2) Double-spaced typed essay indicating career goals

3) Copy of higher education acceptance letter

4) Minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale

5) Recommendation letters from a high school teacher, counselor, university professor, or advisor.

6) High school/college transcripts

7) Financial Aid Award Letter, if available.
